April 16 2026
Vancouver (BC) – April 17, 2026 – adMare BioInnovations today announced the official opening of the adMare M4 Innovation Centre, a new, turnkey facility in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant district purpose-built to support the development of innovative life sciences companies with the potential to scale and anchor long‑term economic activity.
Developed with financial support from the Government of British Columbia and the Government of Canada through PacifiCan, the 30,000-square-foot facility provides move-in ready wet lab space designed for early-stage and growing life sciences companies. The adMare M4 Innovation Centres addresses a longstanding gap in access to specialized infrastructure that allows companies to advance science efficiently and build momentum towards commercialization.
“By investing in world‑class infrastructure, we’re helping local companies scale, create good jobs, and bring made‑in‑B.C. innovations to patients and markets around the world,” said Ravi Kahlon, Minister of Jobs and Economic Growth. “These wet labs provide the space and equipment companies need to move from research to commercialization, helping to propel them forward and cement B.C.‘s position as a hub and leader in life sciences, and that’s exactly what our Look West strategy is built to do.”
The centre features turnkey wet labs, office and collaboration space, shared scientific equipment, and a flexible design that can evolve as companies grow. With construction just completed, three growing companies have already taken occupancy at the M4 Innovation Centre signalling the immediate need in the ecosystem. Over the initial five years, the facility is expected to support more than twenty companies.
“B.C.’s life sciences sector is driven by talented researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators who are turning bold ideas into real‑world solutions,” said the Honourable Gregor Robertson, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure and Minister responsible for Pacific Economic Development Canada. “The new adMare M4 Innovation Centre gives local companies access to the specialized lab space they need to accelerate growth, attract investment, and bring life-changing discoveries to market. Through PacifiCan, the Government of Canada is investing in homegrown innovation that creates good jobs and builds a strong Canadian economy.”
The adMare M4 Innovation Centre plays a direct role in adMare’s mission to help build strong, investable Canadian life sciences companies.
“Move-in ready lab space gives companies the ability to focus on their science and build value,” said Matthew Carlyle, President and CEO of adMare BioInnovations. “When teams can move faster and demonstrate progress earlier, they become more attractive to investors and better positioned for growth. adMare Innovation Centres are designed to support that progression.”
Located in Vancouver’s emerging life sciences district, the adMare M4 Innovation Centre now has space available for companies seeking high-quality wet lab facilities in a collaborative, industry-driven environment.
