Our programs are open to individuals interested in a career in the life sciences industry, either currently employed or working/training in academia, with a view to transitioning to commercial organizations.
Priority will be given to participants residing in Canada.
BIS Program:
Our flagship BIS Program: Foundations provides an overview of the drug discovery and development process, as well as insights into the commercial realities and challenges of developing successful therapeutic products. Integrated exercises informed by real-world examples allow learners to apply their knowledge in decision-making scenarios. Interactions with industry experts during the live webinars and with peers in discussion groups showcase diverse perspectives and reinforce concepts to deepen learnings from the online modules. Motivated learners can grow their network nationally through interactions with other participants.
Note: This program is currently only offered in English, with French transcripts provided for video content.
BIS Program:
The shorter BIS Program: Industry Essentials provides an introduction to the entire process of therapeutics development and commercialization without the closer look into R&D that the BIS Program: Foundations offers. An integrated activity ties the program together, allowing learners to apply their knowledge to a decision-making scenario inspired by a real-world example. Learners also have the option of attending a live webinar with an industry expert to learn about their career journey and to participate in a group discussion focused on developing a target product profile for a putative therapeutic.
Note: This program is currently only offered in English, with French transcripts provided for video content.
BIS Program:
This program is designed for graduate students or individuals with at least a B.Sc. or equivalent degree who are interested in pursuing or already employed in roles in biopharma R&D and innovation.

This program is designed for post-secondary students or early-career life sciences professionals without a background in science who are interested in roles that support innovation or are adjacent to R&D.
